Like a storm, workplace conflict is often unpredictable and, when it strikes, can cause significant damage. It can halt progress, prohibit collaboration, and cost the business serious dollars. But, like preparing for a storm, I can get in early, understand the cause of the conflict and shape a mitigation strategy that acknowledges the issues at play while helping everyone to move toward a fair outcome.

Conflict doesn’t need to be as hard as we think and feel it is. 

My vast and diverse experience working for a union, large employers and being a consultant, I understand the things that matter most to employees, supervisors, managers and leaders.  I also appreciate that to truly resolve conflict, the parties need to feel as though they have been heard and understood so that they can then contribute and commit to an effective and practical solution.

How do I do this?  I develop personal rapport and take the time to get to understand the interrelationships and the business context.  My approach is to be a calm and measured advisor that demonstrates objectivity, removes stress, and ensures focus on desired workplace outcomes.

Over my career, there’s not much I haven’t seen. It means I know the pathway forward and am well-versed in the hard and confronting conversations most people want to avoid.  I see through the noise and keep businesses steadily moving toward their desired outcome.
